In Tree Hill, the community was becoming more and more chaotic. Karen was pregnant with Keith's baby, the pregnancy test in the purse turned out to be Brooke's and she was pregnant with Lucas's baby. Haley was also pregnant by Nathan, and Rachel, by Cooper. And yet the world continues to spin.
Deb finally told Dan the truth about who tried to kill him, her. He, surprisingly, didn't press charges against her, he was trying to become a better man, though no one would believe it. After their divorce, Deb moved away, still keeping in touch with Karen and Nathan and Haley and visiting every once in a while, but keeping away from Dan as one of their agreements. Dan continued to try to help Karen with the baby, which she was only letting in little by little since she really did need the help considering Lucas, who would be helping her, had his own issues as far as pregnancies. She refused to ever get back together with Dan, but she let him makeup for not being there for her and Lucas by being there for this baby this time, though she'd only let him go so far, and it would stay that way.
Lucas asked Brooke to marry him after finding out that she was pregnant, which she accepted, but with one condition. She didn't want to marry just because of the baby since that wasn't fair to her, him, or the baby. She decided to wait and see what was thrown their way before committing to that, even though she did love him with all of her heart, and he did her. He attended Tree Hill Community College with a full academic scholarship and she took a few fashion design classes here and there whenever she could fit it into her schedule. Just before the baby turned a year, the couple finally married and were able to move out of Karen's house, where they had been living and into the beach house that Dan finally moved out of and gave to them.
Nathan was fine and he and Haley lived happily with their baby. They stayed in the same apartment while he attended Tree Hill Community College with a partial scholarship for basketball. Deb sent them money to help them stay alive and pay for college. Haley continued working at Karen's cafe along with Karen and Brooke and they all switched off taking care of the store and the children. Haley and Nathan ended up moving into Deb's house which she gave to them for them to live in a bigger place.
Cooper denied that Rachel was pregnant until he got annoyed of her insisting and took her to the health unit. She infact was pregnant, to his surprise, and though he didn't think that they should be together, he stayed in town near Rachel and the baby, taking care of them as far as babysitting and money and helping her with college and whatnot. He refused to become an item with her, even when she became legal and years after that. He didn't like the fact that she lied to begin with and he didn't want to deal with that. He eventually went back to the race track and lived near the race scene again, sending child support to Rachel and coming down every once in a while to visit the baby.
Peyton tried very hard to become friends with Brooke again, but she wouldn't go out of her way or be humiliated which was a Brooke thing to do. Brooke finally sort of forgave her, but they never became bests again like they were originally. Plus, Brooke was so busy with the pregnancy and then it was harder to get together once Peyton moved back to go to the arts college and be near Jake, who slowly let her back in. She found out very soon after moving back there that she was pregnant with Pete Wentz's baby, her ex-boyfriend. After the baby was born, she moved in with Jake and they became engaged. Jake finally got full custody of Jenny, but let Nikki see her since she was trying hard to change. Peyton and Jake soon married and she was quickly pregnant with their first child as well as became a happy family with their two existing children.
Brooke and Lucas eventually moved out to Los Angeles when Lucas was able to transfer to UCLA for his next two years and she really started on her fashion career and they took care of the baby there. Dan continued to help with Karen and the baby until he was old enough to not need it so much though Dan was like the father figure, finally changed from an ass to a good guy again...hopefully. Nathan and Haley both attended their years at Tree Hill Community College and transfered to bigger state colleges in no place but New York where they moved to for years. Rachel finally got out on her own and moved to where she had some family in Washington State and went there with the baby. She continued to send Cooper pictures. Mouth moved out right after graduating and attended Harvard Law School. Peyton and Jake lived together while Peyton enjoyed art school until they decided to move to Massachusetts and Peyton could work in art and Jake could work and they would live with their kids there. Others went to various colleges all over the United States and some even went to different countries.
Now, finally, everyone seems to have stopped talking and moved back to Tree Hill with their kids, grown up and in school. They have yet to figure out that they are all back together again. Brooke and Peyton met up again when Peyton heard about the chain of fashion stores that Brooke had opened called "No Wait." They finally patched things up and of course, their kids are friends, but how long will it take for all of the old things to come out in the open and what will happen when the parents find out they're all back? And what will the children do together? Will they carry on their long lasting history of their families lives together or create their own new beginning...we'll see...
