Faith McKillen stood behind the counter at Deidrich's Coffee shop and smiled. She was happy. Her life wasn’t perfect to say but she had things only others could dream about. Okay so maybe it wasn’t all great but nothing ever was.
But when it came to the important things Faith was lucky. She had Acca, her best friend. Reliable, loyal, good for a laugh. They balanced each other. She had a loving family (yeah right). A stable life. A good job at Deidrich's. Good grades. She had everything she wanted.
Smiling she twirled around before facing the cash register and beginning the long task of punching in the bills.
…Table four had had two chocolate chip cookies and two coffees. One milkshake and sandwich for Table Nineteen…
With a sigh, her smile never fading Faith ran a nail across the table and tapped her knuckles several times. Leaving the bills and the register she shifted around and turned on the old radio in the corner of the room. Switching it to some old classical station she began to rotate around the stables snatching up a spay bottle of cleaner and a cloth on her way past.

Ashleigh ran in the shop as sh threw the magazine she used to cover her head with away. It was pouring outside and she was soaked. Ashleigh quickly ran behind the counter and squeezed her shirt over the sink. "Shit." Ash mumbled.
Ashleigh saw another employee cleaning tables. She quickly ran up to her "I'm really sorry I'm late, I hope it wasn't too busy tonight." Ashleigh said concerned "Is the manager still here?" Ashleigh had to tell the manager, but how? She fell asleep. Ash missed her whole shift on the first day of her new job because she fell asleep. They wouldn't care. "Need any help?" Ashleigh said, the tone in her voice sounding hopeless.

Faith glanced up as a girl came running in soaking wet. Damn. She knew she had forgotten something."We're closed." Faith walked to the door and turned the sign to where it'd say closed to anyone coming from the outside.
Faith cocked a eyebrow at the girl. No one told her they hired any new employees. Shrugged to herself, Faith shook her head."No thanks, I've got it underhand."

Ashleigh sighed "I work here." She said as she jumped up on the counter. "Are you sure?" She asked. Ashleigh double checked everything a lot. It was normal for her. Ashleigh quickly got off the counter and walked tourds the door "Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow."

Faith started wiping random tables off."Alright. I'm Faith, you are?" Faith asked the blonde."Just started the other day. Moved here from L.A., and yourself?"

Ashleigh walked back over to the counter, her black nails clicking as they hit the counter. "Im Ashleigh." She said quietly "Moved here from Wisconsin.. Wait Faith? Are you Accalia's sister?" She asked remembering the chat she had online the other day.

Ash perked up. "I met her online, in a chatroom." She said standing up straight. She felt like such a bum watching Faith clean tables. "Milwaukee, right near the lake. Not the prettiest view, but its home." Ashleigh said nodding, sort of agreeing to herself. Ashleigh took the rubber band on her wrist and started snapping it to her skin, which made a loud noice. "Oh sorry." She said letting go of the rubber band "Its a um... habit." Ashleigh didnt want anyone to know about her cutting. In anxiousness to get off that topic Ashleigh pulled her hair up in a ponytail and continued on talking "LA? What part? Accalia never told me."
